This was a civil site works phase of a major building addition. Multiple attempts had been made to fix an onsite drainage problem where water was pooling. The site was very flat surrounded by existing road infrastructure that we couldn't change. I was able to solve that problem with very thorough design surfaces, regrading the site, and redirecting water flows. Other challenges were optimizing blast rock depths and amounts for effective drainage and cost balancing. The site is a landmine of old underground utilities making required connections and new designs challenging.
